Shipping Rates and Policies

 Only shipping of orders placed before 1 PM EST on 12/21/2011 will ship on 12/22/2009. The deadline for shipping an order prior to
Christmas is 12/21/2011 at 1 PM EST

The Gift Basket Gallery charges what we are charged for shipping. We are still a growing business, as we become more established, we will absorb more of the shipping costs.

The following are shipping options offered on most products.

Ground           $7.95 - $21.99                  

3 Day              $12.95 - $30.99                  

2 Day              $17.99 - $46.95                   

Next Day        $27.99- $90.95   

There is a $15.50 fee added to the standard ground prices for ground shipping to Alaska and Hawaii.(Excluding Fruit, and Cookies)

There is a  $24.50 fee to the Next Day air prices for expedited shipping to Alaska & Hawaii. (Excluding Fruit and Cookies)

We do not ship to Canada.

Not all products are available for shipping to Alaska and Hawaii.

Do not count the day a product is shipped as a shipping day.  Ground shipping usually takes 3-5 business days.   

We primarily use UPS, and sometimes FEDEX.  

An order must be placed by 12:00 P.M. EST to guarantee being shipped that day, orders placed between 12:00 and 2:00 are usually shipped that day, but not guaranteed.  

Chocolate Gift Baskets may only be shipped by Next Day Air from June thru October due to heat.

 We do not deliver to PO boxes. Some items are not deliverable to FPO's and APO's.

 Shipping charges to APO/FPO is:

All AE Shipments - 18.95

All FPO, AP/AA Shipments- 21.95

There is no ground shipping available for some Cookies

Flowers can only be delivered by Next Day Air. The charge for this is 15.95. We deliver flowers on Saturdays. This is an extra 15.00

We recommend not delivering to nursing homes or hospitals due to room changes and early discharges. If possible, deliver your gift to a friend or relative that is nearby to deliver the gift.

Any gift not deliverable due to a wrong address will charged an additional $10 fee.

Claims & Returns

All damage claims, This is to insure discrepancies and late delivery claims must be made within 3 business days of the gift being received. There will be No exceptions to this policy. If a gift arrives damaged or there is a discrepancy The Gift Basket Gallery will make every effort to resolve the issue in a timely manner and to your customer's satisfaction. Credits and or refunds will be at the sole discretion of The Gift Basket Gallery and will only be issued if damaged gifts or discrepancies can be verified by the carrier. If your customer disposes of the gift before we can verify the damages/discrepancy we will not issue any refund. All claims must be issued in writing by fax or e-mail. Claims will not be accepted via the phone.

If for any reason the recipient or purchaser is unhappy with a gift they may certainly return it.

  1. If the gift is simply not wanted, or the customer is not satisfied they may ship it back to us at their own expense and receive a partial and in some cases a full refund. The refund is based on the gifts perishability and condition upon being returned. The gift must be unopened and un tampered with.
  2. If the gift is damaged or we have made an error: We will call tag the original gift and either ship a new one or refund the gift in full. However if we can not call tag the gift no refund or credit will be offered. Retrieving the gift is the only way we have of verifying the damages and placing a claim with UPS.

In the event a carrier returns a gift due to being refused, a bad address being supplied or non availability of a recipient all shipping charges assessed by the carrier will be added to the customers bill and the customer will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Shipping charges usually consist of shipping to the recipient, shipping back to The Gift Basket Gallery and any address correction fees.
